About Siv Wadlin

Passionate about travel all her life, Siv Wadlin, founder of Travel by Siv, was born in Vasterås, Sweden, a town approximately 100 kilometers west of the capital of Stockholm.

For over 40 years, Siv has been an advisor, confidant and advocate for discerning corporate and leisure travelers to prestige destinations around the world.

Siv’s global relationships with the world's most respected airlines, hotels, cruise lines and tour companies ensure the best value and most memorable experiences, whether traveling on business or pleasure.

Clients and other travel professionals turn to Siv’s specialized knowledge of Sweden and Scandinavia, born from her adventures throughout the region with her grandparents who raised her on Viking Sagas. Like the Vikings, Siv also discovered the New World. Although she lives and works full time in New York City, she still calls Scandinavia home.

Do you know any golf addicts that would take a 2AM Tee time if they could?

My colleague Sean Winton just gave the most wonderful presentation on Lofoten Links in Gimsøya, Norway. Located at 68° North, it’s the world’s only top 100 course which offers 24-hours of golf under the midnight sun every day from May through August. If you’d like, you can even try to beat the Guinness World Record for longest continuous round of golf, set at 30 hours in 2022. 

In addition to unlimited golf packages, the course also offers meals and accommodations in luxury lodges that sleep up to six. For non-golfers in your party, there’s birdwatching, hiking and cycling along the island’s cliffs and fjords, kayaking off of its beaches and even cold-water surfing.
